Kids’ Fast Fashion, A Big No!

Before we analyze why kids’ fast fashion is a big no. Let’s get to know what exactly is fast fashion.

Increase in Clothes Consumption:Kids’ Fast Fashion, Another Name for Low-Quality Garments: Be Trendy or Set the Trends:Your Money Deserves Better:

Fast fashion is following ever-changing fashion trends blindly. This means you lose the count of clothes that you already have in your wardrobe, and they end up at landfills sooner than later.

This introduction itself indicates the negatives of following fast fashion. Here are a few more reasons to unfollow this rising trend.

Increase in Clothes Consumption:

Fast fashion is attractive as it looks stylish, it’s cheaper and it makes you look trendy. But unfortunately, it has also resulted in a ten-fold increase in the consumption of clothing in the US alone. This increase in clothes consumption is not healthy for our planet, our people, and also the animals. Because most of these clothes end up in landfills causing an increase in the planet’s pollution.

Kids’ Fast Fashion, Another Name for Low-Quality Garments:

Kids’ fast fashion is no doubt stylish but because it doesn’t last long because of its ever-changing trends, the fabric used is usually of low quality. Low-quality products don’t have sustainability, they are easily worn out, their shades fade out and they end up in the garbage quickly. This is also an important reason why kids’ fast fashion shouldn’t be followed. As parents, we must choose quality over quantity, comfort over trend, and sustainability over vulnerability.

Be Trendy or Set the Trends

Be Trendy or Set the Trends:

Following kids’ fast fashion or not is an equal debate as to be trendy or become the one who sets the trends. The approach towards following everything that is trending means you follow the tide while being a trendsetter means that you set some rules and goals for yourself and be a role model yourself.

As a conscious parent, what will you choose for your kids to become? A trendsetter or a trend follower? The choice is yours!

Your Money Deserves Better:

Nothing in our life is free. Even the money we earn comes at the price of the time we invest in acquiring it. Therefore, spending your money wastefully means you risk all that time you spent earning that money. Kids’ fast fashion is cheap yet it costs you more money as it requires frequent buying of new clothing. Preferring sustainable quality clothing for your kids keeps your away from buying frequently, also you can resale quality garments once your kids don’t fit in them. Both ways, it’s a win-win situation for parents to buy quality clothing for their little ones.
